The unique and fascinating mecha that appeared in the popular Gerry Anderson TV show "Thunderbirds," which began airing in Japan in 1966, are now available as plastic model kits from Bellfine! The first installment includes three items: Thunderbird 1, a super-fast jet plane with a top speed of approximately Mach 20 that quickly rushes to the scene of an accident or disaster and takes command; Fireflash, a nuclear passenger plane that flies at a top speed of Mach 6; and the High-Speed Elevator Car, a special vehicle with six axles and twelve wheels that intercepted the Fireflash on the runway and assisted it to land safely. Thunderbird No. 1 -- 1/250 scale, total length approximately 14cm when completed; can be recreated in both flight and landed forms, display stand included.
Fireflash -- 1/500 scale, total length approximately 23cm when completed; can be recreated in both flight and landed forms.
High-Speed Elevator Car -- 1/144 scale, total length approximately 13cm when completed; can be built as manned command vehicle or radio-controlled vehicle.
