Aoshima Thunderbirds International Rescue Thunderbird 2 Plastic Model Kit - AOS20348

Thunderbirds Are Go! Relive the excitement of Gerry Anderson's legendary science fiction television series with the Aoshima Thunderbirds International Rescue Thunderbird 2 Plastic Model Kit (AOS20348). This nostalgic model kit recreates one of the most recognisable rescue aircraft in television history, complete with its famous detachable cargo container and miniature rescue vehicles.

Piloted by Virgil Tracy, Thunderbird 2 is International Rescue's heavy transport aircraft, designed to deliver specialist rescue equipment to emergency locations around the world. With its distinctive green fuselage, powerful vertical take-off capabilities and interchangeable cargo pods, Thunderbird 2 remains a favourite among generations of Thunderbirds fans.

Originally inspired by the classic Thunderbirds model kits of the 1960s, this 2026 Aoshima reissue celebrates the 60th anniversary of the television series' Japanese broadcast, bringing back a classic model with its original-style interactive features.

Classic Thunderbird 2 with Detachable Rescue Container

This impressive plastic model kit faithfully recreates the distinctive appearance of Thunderbird 2, including its broad wings, streamlined fuselage and removable cargo container.

One of the standout features is the detachable rescue container, which can be removed from the aircraft to reveal storage space for the included miniature International Rescue vehicles.

The completed model measures approximately 250mm in length, making it an excellent display piece for Thunderbirds enthusiasts and science fiction collectors.

Includes Three International Rescue Vehicles

In addition to Thunderbird 2, this model kit includes three miniature rescue vehicles that can be stored inside the removable cargo container:

• Thunderbird 4: International Rescue's famous yellow underwater rescue craft.
• Jet Mole: The specialised underground drilling and excavation vehicle.
• Magnetic Towing Vehicle: A specialist rescue vehicle used for moving and recovering heavy equipment.

The cargo container also features wheels underneath, allowing it to be rolled along by hand.
