Characters & Scene

“Whale of a Time” draws inspiration from Pinocchio’s unforgettable encounter with Monstro, the gigantic whale at the centre of one of the film’s most memorable sequences. Bringing Monstro, Geppetto and Pinocchio together in a single sculpted scene gives this piece a strong connection to the storytelling and adventure of the original Disney classic.

Collector Notes

Rather than presenting a single character, this Disney Traditions piece recreates an important scene from Pinocchio. The combination of multiple characters, dramatic subject matter and Jim Shore’s recognisable decorative style gives “Whale of a Time” excellent display appeal for collectors of classic Disney animation and story-based Disney Traditions pieces.

Display

Designed as a freestanding collectible statue, “Whale of a Time” makes an impressive feature piece for a collector cabinet, shelving or dedicated Disney display. It pairs particularly well with other Pinocchio characters and classic Disney pieces from the Jim Shore Disney Traditions collection.
